One of the pious predecessors once said:

“When I hear an example from the Qur’ān and do not understand it, I lament over myself, because Allāh says, ‘We cite these examples for people, but no one understands them except the knowledgeable ones[1].’[2]

This is a reality check for those of us who think of themselves to be knowledgeable in regard to the Qur’ān and other aspects of Dīn.

May Allāh grant us true knowledge, and embed it into our hearts.
