بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
- Whoever shows hostility towards Allāh and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم is in for a severe punishment.
- Whatever the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم gives you and teaches you, take it happily, and whatever he refrains you from, refrain from it.
- Some qualities of the Anṣār:
- They prepared Al-Madīnah for the Muhājirūn
- They truly loved the Muhājirūn
- They felt no envy in the wealth that was granted to the Muhājirūn
- They gave preference to others over themselves even though they themselves were in poverty.
- Whoever is saved from the greed of his/her heart is indeed successful.
- Make a point of making this du‘ā:
رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ (٥٩: ١٠)
‘Our Rabb! Forgive us and those of our brothers who preceded us in faith, and do not place in our hearts any rancour against those who believe; Surely, Our Lord, you are Very-Kind, Very-Merciful.’ (59:10)
- The hypocrites would continuously make false promises, which Allāh exposed.
- The hypocrites would only fight if they knew they had more of a chance of surviving. Their relations between themselves were extremely fragile and disputes rife. On the outset, it looked as if they were a united bunch, yet their hearts were divided.
- One way of achieving taqwā is to continuously ponder over what deeds you have sent forth for the Hereafter.
- If you forget Allāh, He will cause you to forget yourself.
- Allāh has many beautiful names; we should learn them and call Him by them.
